Romanian stamp circa 1956. Romania won 3 gold medals in Melbourne during those games for canoeing.  Leon Rotman won gold in the 1,000 and 10,000 meter races.  Alexe Dumitru and Simion Ismailciuc won gold in the 1,000 meter doubles race.
