Continuing on with the little Processing script I made the other week, I decided to try it out on the set of photos I took in Yosemite in 2010, and this is the result.

It’s considerably darker than the average photo I took in India, but that’s to be expected considering the significant number of black and white photos included in this set.  The set of images I fed into this was just under 80 in number, closing in on double the number used in the India one, and the result is a slightly smoother texture to the photo.

Another average photo.  Here, I pulled 16 portraits of the Virgin Mary from Wikipedia and took the average of them.

I created a short Processing script to take each of photos in a directory and create the average photo.

This image is the result of averaging about 50 medium format photographs taken over a 3 week trip in India.
